Six One-Click Transforms

Flip, rotate, or build perfect symmetry — every action renders instantly at full resolution.

Flip Horizontal

A true left-right mirror of the whole photo — fixes selfie mirroring and flips the reading direction of a composition.

Flip Vertical

Upside-down reflection — the top of the photo swaps with the bottom. Useful for reflections and creative inversions.

Rotate 90° CW

Turns the photo a quarter turn clockwise. Width and height swap, so portrait becomes landscape and vice versa.

Rotate 90° CCW

Quarter turn counter-clockwise with the same dimension swap — the standard fix for sideways phone photos.

Mirror Left Half

Copies the left half of the photo, mirrored, onto the right — an instant symmetrical artwork from any subject.

Mirror Right Half

The reverse kaleidoscope: the right half is mirrored onto the left. Try both on faces and architecture for surreal results.

Why Use This Mirror and Flip Tool?

What People Flip and Mirror

Simple transforms solve everyday photo problems — and unlock creative ones

Fix Selfie Mirroring

Front-camera photos are stored mirrored, which flips text and hair parts. Flip Horizontal restores the view everyone else sees.

Straighten Sideways Photos

A quarter turn fixes photos shot in portrait orientation. Confirm print dimensions afterwards with our DPI calculator.

Kaleidoscope Art

Mirror Left Half turns faces, flowers, and buildings into surreal symmetric compositions that stand out in any feed.

Design Layout Tweaks

Flip a photo so its subject faces into the layout, toward text or the center of a design. Pair with the vignette tool to focus the eye.

Mirror / Flip Image — FAQ

Quick answers about flipping, rotating, and mirroring

What is the difference between flipping and mirroring?
Flipping reverses the whole photo left-right or top-bottom. Mirroring here copies one half of the photo onto the other, flipped — creating perfect symmetry instead of just reversing the image.
Does flipping an image reduce quality?
No. Flips and rotations only rearrange pixels — none are resampled or changed, and PNG downloads are lossless.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
Never. All transforms run on the canvas in your browser. Your photo stays on your device, and the tool works offline after loading.
Why does my selfie look wrong when I post it?
Front cameras show a mirrored preview but save the unmirrored image, so text and asymmetric features appear flipped. Use Flip Horizontal to restore what you saw while taking the photo.
What happens to image size when I rotate 90 degrees?
Width and height swap: a 4000×3000 photo becomes 3000×4000. No pixels are lost — the photo is simply reoriented.
Which half should I mirror for kaleidoscope art?
Try both. Mirror Left Half works well for portraits (faces tend to sit left of center), while Mirror Right Half often produces more abstract results on architecture and landscapes.
